Is there anything more “basic” than black leggings? And I mean that in the go-to basics for your closet way and the new, annoying use of the term “basic” as well 🙂
But I wear black leggings more often than probably anything else, from working out to pretending I’m going to work to knowing there’s no way in hell I’m going to work out but it’s better than pajamas.
And I have found some pretty incredible and pretty affordable go-to’s over the past year.
I’ve included some maternity options I love as well! 
There are about 4 or 5 pairs of leggings that are my definite must haves.
and none of these are Lululemon align leggings…. those are wonderful and I lived in those for many years when I was younger, and I DO think they are worth the price because they really do hold up well, but I have found that others do as well and are much much more affordable!

Okay, so let’s get right to it!

Zella Live in Legging &  Zella Maternity Live in Legging

I love these leggings for both working out and for everyday wear.
They are the perfect thickness, fabric, not sheer, etc to wear for pretty much anything at all. And they are super soft and comfortable.  Perfect light compression.  Overall great go-to option.

The Maternity option was my constant go-to when I was pregnant.

Once the bump was big enough, I loved the over-the-bump legging option to smooth everything out, especially when my belly button started to…. well…. take on a life of it’s own? (I’ll share an under the bump option below!)
The maternity leggings are constantly “sold out” but they restock them pretty much every other day.  I would just check back at night a few nights in a row if your size is sold out and you are guaranteed they’ll be back in stock!

I love these SO much post-babies, and would love them just in general  for a great compression pair of leggings. You get them in a pack of TWO for $44, and they come in 9,000 colors too incase you want more than just basic black.

These are the kind of leggings to pick when you want something crazy soft and stretchy.  These are LIKE BUTTAH.  They feel like you are wearing nothing – dare I say they are even comfier than sweatpants?!   I wore these throughout almost my entire pregnancy (sized up) even though they are non-maternity.  They stretch so much and then they would just go down below my bump.  There just wasn’t any other pair of black leggings that were this cozy comfy to me.   Now I have a new pair for post maternity and have been wearing them just as much.
These also come in a bunch of different colors! 

Blanqi Leggings (Maternity Leggings)

For true maternity leggings, I loved these.  They are VERY soft and comfortable.  I will say that these are not leggings you can really wear without a longer top (in my opinion) because of the material and the seams.  They don’t look like real “leggings” the way that the others do.  BUT these are amazing for when you are legit bumping in the final trimester.  These stretched VERY well over my twin bump in the final trimester and were so cozy to wear. I would not, however, wear these out and about unless I had a tunic length top on.

Blanqi Postpartum Leggings

These have no seam so they are great and comfortable for C-Section recovery.  I got mine in a combo black during Black Friday with the Maternity leggings, so I had these already.  If you are having a C-Section and you don’t want things rubbing your tummy (THE WORST) these would be a great option!
