in honor of mother’s day (a little late, as always over here) I rounded up a list of a few things my mother taught me. I always hear her voice commenting on things in my head and started writing some nance-isms down in my phone.
it’s been almost 2 years since she passed away and I still think about her and things I want to tell her every day.

Melasma. Ugh. The never ending skin battle.
I’m finishing up my third round (once a year) doing hydroquinone for 3-4 months which always helps my melasma *so* much. I’ve shared how it helps and the results in the past (this lengthy blog post shares more) and wanted to share how this year has been different because I used different products and a slightly different regimen.
And even if you don’t have melasma, there are a couple of holy grail skin products I use year round even when I am not incorporating the hydroquinone!

I got my first (and only) pair of white sneakers 3 years ago and have never looked back. Cole Haan makes hands down the most comfortable sneakers, and with their recent sale I stocked up on the exact same pair. I’ve ordered a few others before and have always returned them because nothing compares to the comfort and classic style of my go-to pair.
