By far the most important vendor selection for me was the photographer. For the band, florist, videographer, etc. I was/am very content using everyone my sister used for her wedding three years ago. {It also makes it so much easier}. But not the photographer – I needed full control on this one. Being a wedding blog freak liker, I had high expectations for what I wanted in a photographer.
I just about peed my pants when I found out David Murray was available for our date. His photos are just amazing, more “photojournalism” than posed family photos. I am so excited to see how everything will turn out.

What was the “one thing” that was most important to you in planning?
Wow! The first photo is breathtaking! Congrats on landing a great photographer!
Stunning wedding photos!
SAME! I freaked when we were able to book the photographer we hired. I'm blown away by her images and can't wait to work with her 🙂 These photos are beautiful, glad you are able to work with your dream team!
Other than photographer, the venue and band are crucial for us!
Those are breathtaking, your pictures will be so beautiful! I'm a bit of a foodie and a wino so honestly the most important thing to me was having an amazing meal and good wine. Which is why we got married at the Auberge Du Soleil in Rutherford, CA. Their restaurant is spectacular and so was the food at our wedding…and being in Napa, obviously the wine was amazing as well! Our 1yr anniversary is actually the 10th of August so i'll be doing a wedding post soon!

Totally! I didn't want any cheesy photos or super posed ones. Awkard..I started working for a wedding photographer the month of my wedding and in the interview, he asked me why I wasn't using him. I should have known then how crazy he was. Anyway, I am with you on photography. THe one thing I really regret not having is a videographer. xoox
I agree with you 110%. Photographs were the most important thing to me especially because we were not able to fit a videographer into our budget. I have been married almost one year now and I still look at my photos at least weekly. I absolutely love them. They were the most expensive thing in our whole budget and worth every penny!
gorg!!
His photos are stunning!
Wow those pictures are stunning! I say spend tons of money on a great photographer because the memories are what last forever. My mom was very pushy on me getting a cheap photographer because of our budget and although she did a great job the more I'm seeing other people's wedding pictures the more I'm realizing maybe my photographer wasn't that great :/
Your photos are amazing, I love that one at dusk… Mine was so long ago I can only remember my extreme excitement to marry the man of my dreams ( going on 38 years now) and the fights I had with my mom over my step dad and father sharing the same event.. Yours looks dreamy.
congratulations.
