wedding wednesday continues…..
ceremony time!
we got married at the Cathedral of Christ The King in Atlanta.
we got married at seven pm, and we didn’t see each other until I walked own the aisle.
this is one of my favorite pictures of my mom and me.
I don’t know how to explain it and it won’t make sense, but this picture is very “us”.
it meant more than anything to me to have her walk me down the aisle since my dad is no longer with us.
I may have had an ugly cry moment at the first part of the walk.
ps. my mom’s dress was amazing.
I want it.
I didn’teven realize until just now that there were hideous RED flowers on the altar.
The church let us do the church doors and flowers on the aisle, but they decide what goes on the altar. The one color we hoped NOT to have the most was red.
Ha. of course they used red 🙂
I can’t believe I never even noticed this even looking at all of the pictures?
our priest was amazing, and was really funny during the ceremony. he made a joke when he flicked the holy water at the groomsmen about seeing if anyone would sizzle, so that explains why we’re laughing in the above picture during the sign of the cross.
kip didn’t see the back of my dress at all since I never had my back to him, so this was me showing him (his one wish was for me not to wear “a turtleneck” so I was excited to show him I had some skin kind of exposed. what he doesn’t know is that the other dress I had as choice #2 was as close to a turtleneck as you could get :D)
ah!! legitimately now all I see is those red flowers…..
I meeeaaaannnnn hideous.
reception and other goodies up next!

You look absolutely stunning! The photo of you and your mom is so sweet- and her dress is gorgeous!
Yay! Love the ceremony photos! Your church has weird rules (but I totally understand). We could only have alter flowers – nothing on the pews or an aisle runner. Also jealous of your photog getting actual ceremony pictures. Our church assigned wedding coordinator could not have been more strict if she tried and she banished our photog to the balcony.
all of these pictures are simply stunning! and although you hate the red flowers, i swear i didn't even notice them because i was just in awe of how beautiful you both looked!
