I hope you all had a great weekend!
Thursday to Saturday I visited my best friend in New Jersey (hence why Friday’s post went up a bit late!) Our families were next door neighbors since we were only 1 year old and we’ve been BFF ever since.
We had a great time and I’m so glad I got to see her and her gorgeous new house!
(I blame the backyard hot tub for Friday mornings hangover….. think we dehydrated our selves in there for a bit too long with our vino and nonstop chatter!)
We both hated this photo of us but felt the need to share at least one pic of us!
She whipped up a great snack when I was there that was so delicious I had to share.
You just mix in a little bit of hidden valley ranch to cottage cheese and serve it with some crudités. It is so yummy and filling!
Kip had a golf weekend away so I had Saturday to myself once I got back home! It was gorgeous out and I went on a long walk while I caught up with a friend on the phone, and then treated myself to some take out and enjoyed TV and an early bedtime!
I was craving chinese/thai so I ordered some Spicy Garlic Chicken + Veggies, but to make up for my indulgent day before in NJ, I doubled the veggies and swapped the rice for a package of Better than Noodles.
It was SO GOOD (I did take out from Bua Thai and Sushi, but Chow Bing is normally my go-to.)
I just dumped the take out into the wok and heated up the noodles with them for a couple of minutes. It was packed with fiber and so, so filling.
I know, I know….. my photography is just fantastic. I then promptly passed out – I am never one to fall asleep early, especially when I get the TV to myself or can stay up late reading in bed, but clearly I needed it!
Sunday morning I made it to a Sculpthouse class –
they do 25 minutes megaformer pilates and 25 minutes curve treadmill
and are always a good ass kicking.
Then I did some errands like Trader Joe’s and getting organized for the week.
I have been trying to do a Sunday Self Care every week – ya know….. to avoid doing what I should be doing which is prepping ANYTHING in advance for the blog instead of doing it all the night before – and I had the BEST realization!
My favorite travel steamer of all time (works abroad in all foreign outlets and everything) has two settings and one of them is for FACIAL STEAMING.
I keep trying to find some last minute items for Miami and Scottsdale.
I spent Sunday night doing some online shopping; I am IN LOVE with this sarong, but it won’t arrive in time because it is a pre-order.

For today’s look, everything is under $100!
If you are in need of a dress for an upcoming event or wedding or special occasion, I think this red dress is a perfect option. It’s super comfortable, under $100, and the color would look great on anyone! (a tan brunette at the store was wearing it and the color looked even better on her!) It also comes in a pretty shade of blue called “dusty teal”
I love that it has a slightly longer hemline in the back, and the straps create such a pretty neckline with the insets.
for those with a chest, this would fit you even better! I wasn’t wearing my stick on bra for these pictures and I definitely should have added a little sumthin-sumthin.
// RED LACE DRESS //
wearing size small, runs true to size, also comes in a blue color!
// EARRINGS, $9! // CLUTCH, 45% off //
// HEELS and I’m in love with these CORK HEELS for a bit more //
These earrings are one of my favorite inexpensive finds. I just saw that they come in a white and turquoise too – the under $10 sale price can’t be beat and they really hold up, I’ve had mine for forever!

Hope you all have a Happy Monday !!!!!!
This red dress makes me wish I had a special event to plan for…great find!
So I have to tell you, we tried the smoked chicken @ Brito’s….and we’ve already had it again since. It is AMAZING. Also I scooped some of the Jarrito’s Grapefruit for cocktails — perfect for a special occasion drink!
Yay I’m so glad you went!! I started to read your comment and was like OH NO DID SHE HATE IT haha !!? It seriously is so amazing right?! The sauces are way too spicy for us – we are such babies – but I love a little tiny dip into each one!
The Jarrito’s make such a great warm weather cocktail !!
The neckline of that dress and the details are perfection! I wish it came in more colors, like pink. Sounds like you had a great weekend, Happy Monday!
