Cheers to Friday!
This week flew by for me, which always helps!
Kip was out of town all week for work (which is sometimes VERY nice for staying up late and watching my shows and blogging) but I’m excited to get some quality time in this weekend!
editors note : it’s like…. I miss him when he’s gone…. but the first thing he did when he got home last night was turn on Jurassic Park 3 while I made dinner. JURASSIC PARK 3?! I mean, THREE!?!? Do you know that Jurassic Park was my original Jackhole of the Week for yesterday’s Coffee Talk and I changed it last minute?! Because if I see ONE MORE commercial for Jurassic Park I am going to lose my mind. And who turns on any Jurassic Park film, any time it is on?? MY HUSBAND.
but I digress….. it’s great to have him home…… I promise……Â
You know how I posted that lengthy summer reading post?! Welp…. I’ve barely made a dent in it. I had The Breakdown already here so I started that, but I have heard rumors it’s not as great as Behind Closed Doors. I feel like I’ll still like it – but Behind Closed Doors was so, so good (and so, so messed up!)
I am DETERMINED to read a bit this weekend, and be a little productive with the blog so that I can read before bed next week instead of being on my laptop.
Speaking of how I’m totally not going to be reading…… I just came across another show to add to my Netflix queue called The Staircase.Â
Oh…. and we will discuss next week in Coffee Talk, but I was compiling my link love below and I just CANNOT believe what was revealed on Southern Charm last night about Kathryn and Shep’s history – since giving birth to Kenzie! What?!

Hi! So I started on some of your books on the list, so far The Last Mrs. Parrish was awesome, needs to be made into a movie stat. Other People’s Houses also good, not as much of a page turner but still good. And my friend sent me Educated, a memoir. It’s a non fiction book about a woman raised by a zealot Dad in Idaho and how she finds out how crazy her upbringing is later in life after going to school. Really interesting! Keep the books coming I love the recommendations.
Hi Lindsay! The Last Mrs Parrish was my FAVORITE! Loved it too! So glad you liked the book rec’s – I’m jealous of how much you’ve read I’m still only on page 60 of The Breakdown – whoops! Have a great weekend!
I love your wrap dress, I love all wrap dresses! The whole Shep and Kathryn thing is kinda weird this season, did you see her reunion dress? Worst in the history of all reunions, no lie. I went to Sephora this weekend with the intent of buying some Drunk Elephant products but was sdaly disappointed when I sampled that vitamin c serum and their other serum and both smelled so awful I could not deal! I ended up buying the Supergoop spf mist, two Sunday Riley products, a vitamin C serum and a night oil and a Philosophy fragrance. Then I got a free gift with my points so the girl suggested I try the Drunk Elephant moisturizer so I took it. It was free and doesn’t smell. I’m actually loving it so far, two days in. Sorry for the overload.
