Happy Tuesday loves!
I’m back after a little internet-detox and long weekend away!
I’m excited to share one of my favorite products today that I have become a complete junkee over.
We were in Sanibel, Florida for the weekend with my sister and nephew with no internet so I took an extended break from my laptop and it was lovely.
Kip’s grandparents have split their time between Chicago and Sanibel for years, so with their place sitting empty they kindly welcome any visitors that want to use it. We figured we would have a quick little summer getaway and take my sister and nephew along.
We were very nervous before we went down because there had been the worst red tide basically ever occurring. I had NO idea what a red tide was, but when I saw this article I was like uhhhhhmmmm should we be going?! Luckily I think we missed the worst of it, and people had been cleaning the water an beaches before we arrived.
ANYWAYS. We lucked out with great weather and had a such a great time. We “fished” (again, no live fish to be found but a 4 year old doesn’t know that), boated, beached, pooled, and ate and ate and ate to our hearts content.
It was also amazing to be there when it’s completely quiet and all the vacationers and tourists are gone. Worth it for the midday heat!
A few pictures from the weekend.

Now, on to a favorite skincare product that I can’t get enough of: Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen.
Unfortunately I don’t get to lay and bronze and tan to my hearts content like I used to.
I always a have a hat on in the sun (melasma is not my friend) and wear at least SPF 30, but try to be good and wear SPF 50 on beach vacation.  Tear…… I’d kill to bronze like I used to……
editors note : and for those of you that remember my sunburn from the 4th of july, I swear, I had applied some serious sunscreen in Michigan but somehow missed my ankle when hastily applying and got a second degree burn….. so….. perhaps don’t take application lessons from me?!Â
I had been seeing things about Supergoop! sunscreen for months, but had never tried it until May when a friend had it in Scottsdale.
Their Unseen Sunscreen felt like heaven on earth going on my face and I knew I needed to get my hands on it.
The other great thing about it is that it works *perfectly* as a primer under all of your makeup, so it works as two products for the price of one! So you have no excuse to not have sunscreen on ever again!
A few of my favorite things about it are that it doesn’t make your face shiny at all. There’s no scent. It goes on super smooth and has a light, powdery finish.
Here’s some info from the product page :
What it is: A weightless, colorless, scentless, oil-free formula for your face that smoothes the appearance of pores, grips makeup in place and leaves a velvety soft, matte finish.
What it does: It is formulated with red algae extract, which is known to protect against blue light and infrared radiance. Ideal for all skin tones, it slips seamlessly onto skin without shine, leaving behind a powdery, soft-touch finish.
Features : Paraben-free; oxybenzone-free; synthetic fragrance-free; oil-free
All of the reviews are always amazing for it, so I’m not the only one that can’t recommend it enough.
For body sunscreen, I’m sure there are a million great options, but I loved how easily the Supergoop! Everyday Sunscreen blends in so easily and quickly. Not to thick and not too thin – just right. I like SunBum Sunscreen too, but I don’t always want to smell like a tropical vacation, so I loved that this has no scent and applies so easily.
I talked a bit more about my makeup routine in this post, but this and my It Cosmetics CC cream have been complete game changers for me!

The only thing that makes me want to “reset” more than an indulgent weekend is an indulgent weekend away on vacation. I went straight to the grocery store on Sunday night after we landed and stocked up on all clean ingredients for the week!
I haven’t been cooking new meals in what seems like forever, so I am going to try out a new recipe this week.
I love Natalie at Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers healthy recipes, and my sister told me she has made these Greek Turkey Burgers before and loved them.
I am thinking that I may turn the recipe into meatballs instead to make a little Greek Meatball Salad!
Other than that new recipe, I’ll be referring back to my 5 Day Detox for lots of healthy snack and meal options.
And I’ll be back to starting every morning with my Fab Four Smoothie packed with Protein, Fat, Fiber, and Greens!
Oh, and always serve healthy things in alcohol related glasses…. it just helps 🙂
Do any of you have favorite sources

Let me know!Â
Well do I have a recipe to share with you! I made these last night, and my husband could not get enough of them!

I honestly think you could omit the panko and egg and they could be even healthier – I typically make turkey meatballs on my own with a ton of chopped herbs/white onion and don’t even add the breadcrumbs/egg, but figured I should follow the recipe for the first go-around.. a healthier version of “guy food” my hubby so desperately loves, lol. This recipe was a big hit, especially with their lighter blue cheese dressing which I served on the side!
These would even be great for some football watching come Fall!
Enjoy!
