I hope you all are having a great week!
We got to Grand Cayman on Saturday and I’ve been spending my days being blissfully lazy. I always think I’ll have tons of time for blogging and get so much done, and then I arrive, and more important things take precedent: like staring mindlessly at the ocean. And the occasional reading of a book. Or applying another layer of sunscreen. Ya know…. no time for the laptop!
But I’m keeping up on instagram so find me over there, and I am trying to save some time for blogging!
Before we left on our trip, Kip and I exchanged our Christmas presents. We don’t really do Christmas presents since vacation is always the gift, but he surprised me this year with the sweetest (and most necessary) gift.
A new wallet.
Last year when we came to the beach, I didn’t want to have my gigantic heavy Marc Jacobs wallet, so I took my Baggu bag and used the little pocket the bag folds up into as a makeshift wallet that I could throw into my purse or beach bag.
Welp…….
Guess who just kept using it? For the past YEAR?!
I looked ridiculous everyday. But I loved not having my big heavy wallet, and whenever I looked for a new one I never could find one I liked enough to buy.
Well….. I’d like to say it’s sweet that my husband noticed. And it is. But really it just makes it even more embarrassing that my husband noticed because he notices NOTHING. So that’s how bad it was.
But hey – I got two cute new wallets out of it! I was so excited.
(Oh…. and I got him the Car Vacuum I saw on Natalie’s blog for his one true love, his F-150. And a few little stocking stuffers. Because he is impossible. So I think I did pretty well this year.)
Anyways, I love the quilted wallet to hold ALL my stuff – because I’m one of “those people” that always has too much in their wallet. And then I love the little card case for when I am carrying a small clutch and only really want my ID and credit and debit cards.
