Before bed rest I had ordered a bunch of cute pieces from ASOS Maternity for my weekend in Chicago. I was lucky to get away with non-maternity clothes for a LONG time, and still could depending on the stretch and shape, but it was absolutely time to get a few more items in my closet.
I promise not all posts will be baby related (!!!) but my brain is just fried lately. And I’m just not my usual HILARIOUS self these days 😀 well….. most of the time, but then I get exhausted again.
I haven’t had much energy since getting in here. I don’t know if it’s the growing two babies or being on bed rest but I am suddenly exhausted all the time….. hopefully I’ll get a coffee talk in here sooner rather than later!
But seriously – thank you all SO much for your sweet messages for me and the babies. We had an ultrasound Monday that I was incredibly stressed out about because of some things they discovered last week, but both girls looked great and have been able to stay put! I’m almost 31 weeks and couldn’t be happier to check that off the list!!!
If any of you are pregnant or have been pregnant you know that shopping for maternity clothes is SO hit or miss. It’s awful. Which is why I pretty much size up and make regular clothes work as much as possible. It’s just so much easier.
I’ve always been someone that utilizes (abuses?!?!….. eh…..) the free shipping and returns from places and will order more than one size. It’s worth the constant trips to UPS because you can pick what actually fits you and looks the most flattering on you.
Well….. with maternity clothes, I have done more shipping and returning than I’ve ever done before! It’s insane.
And that’s why I love Asos. Not only do they have TONS of great maternity options in all styles for all prices, but their shipping is amazing.
I also signed up for a one time annual $19 fee for free 2 day shipping. $20 bucks for 2 day shipping at the drop of a hat? YES. So worth it.
So, before my recent trip to Chicago I did a big order and was so happy that so many pieces worked great.
So I thought I’d share some of them today, and of course I only have a photo of me wearing one, but just trust me. They’re RULL cute.
I have no need for any of them now that I’m day 16 in this hospital bed (who’s counting, eh?!?!) but hopefully you will!!
Also, gotta say it people, you get 2.5% cash back with EBates, so seriously people. Sign up. It’s free. And that’s low compared to most places, I usually get 5%-10% on most sites! And they give you coupon codes. And it’s amazing.
Oh, and a SIZING thing for all of this. With Asos I always have to size up, at least one size. So for most of this I sized up one!
This adorable lace tee (size 4) is only $23! It was my favorite thing that I got.
So easy to throw on with jeans or to dress up with leather leggings and heels and some fun jewelry. I highly recommend it.
This peplum flounce top (size small) accentuated my bump a bit more than most things I have worn, but I actually kind of loved it.
The tie waist belt is removable and adjustable, so it was nice to be able to tie it tightly to accentuate the waist and show off the bump.
I wish so badly I had a picture wearing this beaded tee shirt top (size 4) because it looks so much better in person than it does online.
I wanted an easy “dressier” option and this was a great option. I also feel like maybe I can wear this post babies, which I might be crazy, but I feel like it will still fit? I liked this with jeans and a blazer and it actually looked good with just a bra underneath but of course you can wear a tank. I swear…. somehow it didn’t look skanky….. I know you won’t believe me…. and maybe I’m crazy…. but I liked it with just the bra?!
An amazing option for everyday tops are these pack of two v neck tees (size 4).
They are stretchy and comfy and there is just nothing not to like. Plus the V Neck is super flattering. And I have boobs now, so I might as well show off the goods while I have them, amiright?!
A final thing I loved was this pack of two v neck dresses (size small).
They’re just a cozy cotton fabric, nothing insane about them, but they are flattering and would be really easy to dress up or down. I liked them with a pair of booties best, but they would be easy to dress up or down, especially the black color.
