Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend!
I was able to leave the house for something other than a doctors appointment (yay!) and went to my sisters for a last-minute baby shower since I missed mine while I was in the hospital! It just was so nice to get out of the house! To put on real clothes! Do my hair and put some make up on!
Feel like a human being again and socialize with people!
I finally got to wear my jumpsuit that thankfully still zipped!
Jumpsuit is non-maternity, just very stretchy!
Love this brand – Norma Kamali – and highly recommend.
and you get them on sale with code GOBIG19 on shopbop right now!!
I got a lot of questions about these earrings on instagram!
They are unfortunately old Kate Spade earrings but if you search “Kate Spade All Wrapped Up Statement Earrings” you can find them on a bunch of those second hand sites!
No pink heels were worn as planned; leaving the house was as much “wild behavior on bed rest”
that I could handle, so flip flops worked instead.
My sister is quite the hostess and her house looked even more beautiful than usual!
It was a perfect luncheon and so nice to sit and catch up with my friends and my moms friends. I got to eat fresh Krispy Kreme’s and my friends polished off all of the mimosas so I’d say it was a win-win!
My girlfriend made this INSANELY cute diaper cake that she covered in hair bows for the girls. In the middle of the cake was her gift and she made it so that you lifted the top of it to reveal the gift. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!
I don’t know how to insert a boomerang into this post, but you can see it on my instagram post if you scroll to the last image in the post!
Saturday night Kip and I washed a bunch of the baby clothes and put things away in the nursery, and then because he clearly is trying to be nice to me we watched….. A MOVIE. Bohemian Rhapsody.
We have only seen 2 movies in theaters in all of the years we’ve been together and this was probably only the 5th or 6th movie we’ve watched at home together. (Not counting things that play on TV every day of the week like Independence Day or something which he will watch 7,458 times)
BUT, point being, if the Oscars last night didn’t convince you that you need to watch Bohemian Rhapsody, you need to watch Bohemian Rhapsody. It was so good and we both loved it.
I had no idea he was dating Mary in real life until the Oscars red carper!?
Sunday we finally FINALLY has sunshine and no rain. Kip worked on the yard most of the day while I sat on the porch and worked on some Thank You Notes.
I have re-ordered from this Etsy stationary shop 3 times already
(and am about to do a 4th order) and love them every time!
Sunday night I watched the Oscars wearing some super fashionable clothing:
my husbands sweatshirt and sweatpants.
I am pure FASH-UN.
Also pure fash-UN was the majority of the Oscars.
The majority of the dresses were so meh.
AND I feel like barely anyone was at the Red Carpet unless I somehow missed most people!? But I had E! playing the whole time?!
(and is no one going to comment on Lady Gaga’s horrible spray tan? Are we all just ignoring it and focusing on the Shallows performance instead? Anyone? ……k……asking for a friend…..)
Gemma Chan was probably my favorite. I will never get over how gorgeous she is (note to self: Watch Crazy Rich Asians again) and I feel like she is the only person that can wear this bright pink tent and still look petite and beautiful.
Also, another pink I liked was Julia Roberts who is pulling a J.Lo with aging and I want to know her secrets.
Charlize Theron was TERRIBLE.
I was shocked. Everything about it was just awful.
(and yes….. I know I was wearing sweatpants and a mens sweatshirt while she looked like this)
I feel like the after party looks were better than the red carpet looks?!
Gemma looked gorgeous again.
And aside from basically showing her Va’Jean,
Kendall just looked so pretty – like, not her dress, HER –
try to look from the waist up in terms of her face and hair and make up.
Did you see that John Mayer had a fake Vanity Fair party?
Complete with a VF wall and carpet and everything?!
I’m sorry this is genius and HILARIOUS.
Oh! And on Friday I finally did something useful.
It’s so hard to be at home and have plenty of time and not be nesting and purging and cleaning.
Luckily my husband is great and we did full a full Kitchen cleanout last weekend (like, insane. I shared on instagram but he took all the parts to the fridge to scrub them in the SHOWER because they wouldn’t fit in the kitchen sink.)
But Friday I pulled a stool up in front of our bathroom cabinet to purge and clean some more. I couldn’t reach the top two shelves and knew Kip would kill me if I was reaching up there and doing all of that, so those still need help, but it’s the little things when your limited to letting your muscles atrophy day after day, ya know?!
BEFORE : I had actually already dumped some things when I remembered to document this……
After!
Today has not been nearly as productive……
I’m feeling every bit 33.5 weeks pregnant with twins today so happily swapping from sofa to bed today leading up to tonight’s Bachelor Hometowns episode.
