Which is worse: Bra Shopping or Jean Shopping?
I think bras….. but it’s a close call.
When my two new bundles of joy arrived, two new bundles of something else arrived along with them. Well…. the new boobs kinda arrived before the babies, but I knew the Baby Boobs would be ANOTHER new set, so I didn’t bother getting new bras until after the babies were born. Needless to say, my A cup is no longer.
Also needless to say…. I’m sure I’ll be needing ANOTHER set of bras in the future.
THE JOYS OF MOTHERHOOD PEOPLE, amiright?!
So, I ordered about 10 bras.
I didn’t mess around with bra shopping (or jean shopping for that matter) in store before the twins arrived, and I definitely don’t now! Who has time for that?! Or even wants to do that if you have time!?
Free Shipping + Free Returns is the best thing to happen to me.
Of the dozen bras that I ordered, I kept two (and a third that I already knew I loved – a backless sticky bra!)
Both of these are comfortable and stay up.
And aren’t pricey either which is nice!
Hopefully this makes the bra shopping process slightly less painful.
Now if only my boobs would be the same size I’d REALLY be set…..
any hour of the day they’re a different size.
fingers crossed they’ll go back to being symmetrical shortly.
So, if you’re in the market for new strapless bras,
I definitely recommend the following :
Basic Strapless (top bra in photo)
Maidenform Strapless Bra
This is just a great strapless bra and it also comes with removable straps.
Under $20 – can’t beat it.
No frills, just comfortable and gets the job done.
This one I found to run true to size.
No Slip Strapless (bottom bra in photo)
Anette Womens Strapless Bra
I love this one because it really stays put. It’s wider than the standard strapless and this hugs my rib cage a bit more and makes it where I don’t have to pull and tug – it stays PUT.
I did have to size DOWN one for this bra in terms of the band size and definitely recommend going down one size. You could order more than one size and return which one doesn’t work, too, just to ensure you get the best fit! (I returned my original size and got a size down)
Backless Strapless Sticky Bra
Target Backless Strapless
This also under $20 and I love it. Great when you need something backless.
They last for 25 wears and really do stay put!
Just put the little clear plastic thingys (technical term) back on them after wearing and you’re good to go!
I like this so much better than more expensive stick on bras I have worn in the past.
If you have a large chest this probably won’t be your best friend – just being honest –
it’s obviously not meant to be super supportive.
ALSO, it does run small so consider sizing up a cup size!
…. and since we’re talking bras,
I might as well share the bra I am wearing every damn day the last 5.5 months:
This pumping bra.
It’s my favorite one. I love it. Super comfy. Easy to move fabric to put the pump parts there.
Has held up with daily wear and wash for months!
Thank you for the bra recommendations! After having a baby, it’s nice to have less expensive options.. especially when our mom bodies keep changing. BTW, I was terrified my boobs would never return to be symmetrical after breastfeeding/ pumping. THEY DO, don’t worry! Just went through this and happily discovered they will even out.. PHEW 🙂
