Welp…. we made it to the weekend. CHEERS!
But as a friend said to me, does it really matter what day is it anymore?
(I still say YES it does beccause on the weekends I have an extra set of hands from my husband, but I definitely don’t know what day it is anymore except for what shows are on that night….)
My weekend plans include lots of walks in the fresh air (my legs are killing me from the hills in our neighborhood on our daily walks), watching the premier of Top Chef All Stars, eating my face off, and maybe doing some more organizing and purging between wrangling the twins.
when quarantined, eat off of your wedding china!
I made these Goop Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies on Friday (half batch with butterscotch chips because I’m hooked) and they DO taste healthier than a good old fashioned cookie, but they’re good. They definitely needed a kick of salt, so top with some flaked sea salt on top before you bake.
For no butter or flour (there is coconut sugar in them) they are pretty good….. didn’t stop me from eating 4 yesterday.
They spread in the oven a lot so don’t pack them in too close on the tray!
I FAR prefer these Almond Butter Cookies (they have a stick of BUTTER, praise God, and coconut sugar but also grain free). These are always SO delicious that I can’t walk away from them. Would be great with some chocolate chips too if you have some!
:: FAVORITES FROM AROUND THE WEB ::
How Sweet Eats is one of my favorites not only for recipes but for book recommendations and just reading her “nonsense” posts with links, TV talk, and banter. She posted a few of her favorite books of all time and we always have a similar taste in authors.
Mackenzie at Design Darling posted 70 ways to stay busy while practicing Social Distancing and just reading the list made me feel like a real lazy ass 🙂 ….. and inspired to spring clean!
Natalie always makes me want to spend more time in the kitchen and she posted a bunch of meals that are easy to make ahead and freeze. Her tomato pie always sounds so delicious!
I love following Molly Sims for all things health + wellness and she posted some great ways to help others during coronavirus.
:: SALES TO SHOP ::
shop if ya want, don’t if you don’t, but I always peruse a sale!
and don’t forget to sign up for EBates/Rakuten – a lot of stores are up to 10% cash back and you get $10 just for singing up.
Anthropologie is having 25% off sitewide plus free shipping and free returns. I had sworn off Anthro a little while ago due to the no free returns (it really bugs me) but this is the perfect time.
I have eyed this bath mat for years and wonder i it would work with our bathroom or just clash?! It’s such a tiny space and I would keep it folded up when not in use and resting on the edge of the tub anyway?
Our guest bathroom was finished a little while ago but I’ve been waiting to hang pictures above the toilet before I share. I really wanted two small quatrefoil silver frames to hang above it with a photo of each girl in the tub but I have scoured the internet and been unable to find any. If anyone sees any, please send my way (need to be wall mountable and not too large!)
Nordstrom is still having their big 25% off sale, always free shipping and free returns.
They have everything marked down from womens, mens, kids, home, and beauty.

Pottery Barn : 25% off sitewide with code FRIENDS
my hamper a bunch of you asked about from IG is included in the sale
Tuckernuck : 20% off with code TNUCK20
Shop Lily Ann : 35% off your order at checkout, one of my favorite small business to shop!
I’m going to think of something fun to do for everyone to share their
favorite small businesses on instagram so we can all support those together.
I know this is not the time everyone needs or wants to be shopping, but I’m always perusing the web and going to keep sharing sales because why not. Especially if it’s something for the home or for workouts, self-care, etc.
Hope you are all healthy and safe and SANE!
