It’s Friday!
But ya know….. who cares!
We do have tons of plans for the weekend which is exciting!
oh…. I jest.
We are hoping to spend time outside tomorrow since it should be beautiful and is going to rain on Easter Sunday. I’m hoping to maybe take the girls by my moms house and meet in the backyard and then barricade my mom 9,000 feet away from them and us and let her yell at us from a distance. Maybe drive by my sister’s house and honk the horn with the windows up and say HAYY!
Ya know, typical Easter Weekend family things.
I lost my mind a little bit last week……
had a few moments of mental breakdowns.
I’ve been cleaning and purging and masking and eating a lot…. and that’s about it.
But luckily I have been feeling pretty good and back to normal this week. I am sadly very used to not leaving the house…. however 2020 WAS supposed to be my year of ACTUALLY LEAVING THE HOUSE. HA!
I’m reading the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and about 1/3 of the way into it and really liking it so far. Perfect thing to read before bed (and then I throw on some Great British Bake off and drift blissfully to sleep.)
This post from Elements of Style about How to Not Murder your Husband is Quarantine was hilarious. I ate it up. My husband rhetorical “right?” on his work calls REALLY needs to stop. I’ve told him as much, but I keep hearing it when I pop into the bedroom to get something….. it’s so annoying… right?!
I’ve been loving following Leslie Jordan on instagram for quarantine content.
(and it makes me want to binge Will and Grace all day every day)
He doesn’t get much time during the day to leave the bedroom “office”, but it has been nice that he’s able to pop out and see the girls for a few minutes throughout the day.
Last weekend we took them on a picnic so hopefully we can repeat that again this weekend!
I somehow avoided wine all week – which was NOT happening the first two weeks – so I am very excited for some cocktails tonight and tomorrow…. and who knows! Maybe even a mimosa brunch on Easter Sunday that I will immediately regret because I have two one year olds that require all the energy I can possibly muster.
I took the girls on our daily walk yesterday a little further than normal to our friends house where she so sweetly let me clip a bunch of blooms from her snowball bush.
My new yard goal is to have a Snowball Bush (slash to have grass because our yard is a disaster!) – they are all over down here and so, so pretty.
If you are imbibing in retail therapy to get through the days and nights…..

Lily Pulitzer is having 30% off sitewide which I feel like they NEVER do!

I will be nagging this set to try!
Also love this jumpsuit. Chasing after twins friendly.
