Cheers to Friday 🙂
This week certainly did not bring the happy, positive start to 2021
we all had hoped for with the terrible events that occurred in DC.
It’s heartbreaking and simply horrifying.
I will continue to keep it light + nonsense as usual on here and not
feed the negativity and hate that seems to be hitting us everywhere we turn.
I had done a few of these “Fake Friday” outfits on instagram so here is this week’s.
Although the daytime outfit on the left isn’t fake and is pretty much
what I wear 5 days a week (when I change out of my pajamas.)
the target sweatshirt is on sale for $17 right now, too and comes in a few colors!Â
I’ve been slowly taking down the Christmas decor, which is currently piled up on our screened in porch.
The tree probably won’t come down until Sunday but I can’t believe how empty the house feels already.
It feels GOOD THOUGH.
Helping me do tiny 5-10-15 minute projects to purge/clean
elsewhere which are all desperately needed around here.
I no longer feel the need to start and finish a project. Even if I only clean out a few things, tackle a small part of a room, whatever – it’s something. And then I feel accomplished….. and go sit and watch trash TV with the rest of my free time.
I’m currently watching several shows – jumping back and forth depending on the mood – but I have episodes left of
The Flight Attendant, House of Ho, Bridgerton (I’m only one episode in), and we are in the final episodes of Schitt’s Creek (that is the current bedtime show my husband and I watch together.) I’m so sad it’s almost over. We started it forever ago, stopped watching for some reason, and circled back to it last month.
:: LEGGINGS ::
I’ve shared these on instagram but don’t think I’ve shared them on the blog,
but these are the comfiest leggings ever for both lounging and working out.
They don’t have compression – so not your pick if you’re looking for that,
but I live in them.
run true to size, size down if between sizes
:: ORGANIZING CLOSET ::
Our entry coat closet is my next place to organize.
The girls shoes are all piled up, things fall down on my head when I’m reaching to the top shelf, etc.
I ordered this from Amazon to be able to put the girls coat, shoes, etc within easy reach and will hang it on the center of the closet rod for easy access.
:: PLANNER ::
If you’re still on the hunt for a planner,
I love my Erin Condren planner so much. I had this same style last year.
If you like thinner, smaller planners,
I always have great luck at Target + Paper Source.
:: PLACES TO DONATE IN ATLANTA ::
With everyone purging/cleaning/donating (or not – there is NOTHING wrong with not doing any of these things right now and frankly that is my mindset 97% of the time) I asked for options for where to donate women + childrens clothing on instagram (for locals in Atlanta.)
In the past I always drove to Goodwill but I have realized that there are SO many better options to get it immediately in the hands of people who need it most for no charge at all.
:: SKINCARE ::Â
If you missed it, I posted on Wednesday about my updated Melasma routine.
