I hope you all had a great weekend!
Ours was spent with lots and lots of housework/home projects on Saturday that went into Sunday, and then luckily a break from it all for a great brunch with friends!
I kicked off my weekend with a little PT session.
Turns out my “coccyx”, or tailbone as I always referred to it before having a stranger massage it, started showing signs of a twin pregnancy before my tummy did. I think my 9.5 hour flight home from London may have had something to do with it (ughh…. I got up twice and hour and stretched and everything!)
ANYWAYS. We’re working on it. BUT, at the end I sit on an ice pack for 10 minutes and came across this recipe in Coastal Living. I shared on instagram so thought I would share here too.
Friday night we went to The Shops of Buckhead for some Italian at Taverna.
I love being anywhere with a ton of Christmas lights, so it was perfect!
This time last year we were getting lit at the Miracle Pop Up Bar a few doors down but ya know….. things change…….Â
Last weekend we started cleaning out both guest bedroom closets – ugh. It’s crazy how cleaning something makes 10x bigger of a mess in the process. I’ll be sharing the nursery soon on the blog – the room is all ready for me to decorate and of course I have no idea what to pick.
But we finally got both closets cleaned out. And my husband even repainted the closets, too. Be still my heart.
(seriously I love having an excuse to not paint! after painting EVERYTHING in our Chicago condo – almost all 3 floors – AND the Kitchen cabinets, I never wanted to pick up a paint brush again.)
The only fun thing that happened on Saturday, when it downpoured all day and was absolutely freezing, was finding this tank top from my Bachelorette Weekend when cleaning out my drawers. There is literally NOTHING fun about cleaning and organizing all day on a Saturday without even the promise of a cold glass of Pinot Grigio to reward you when it’s all over with.
(leftover pasta in bed while I watched The Great American Holiday Bake Off was pretty nice though…… )
Sunday we went to brunch with friend at Local Three. They do a big brunch buffet and it was DELISH. Seriously so yummy. Just what this preggo needed after a hard (read: boring as hell) days work the day before.
I can’t get enough of my OTK boots lately, and I wore this flounce skirt that I am obsessed with (size down! It runs big!) thanks to it’s elastic waist that allows me to pull it up to boobs.
Last weekend when we were decorating, I posted a photo of my blue + white nativity scene when we were taking it out of the box and got so many questions about it!
I finally dug up the box again and found that it’s Kurt Adler.
Last year it was all sold out and I could only find it on EBay, but I found it on 3 websites for you today!
shop it here or here or hereÂ
I ended the weekend doing what I do best.
Eating dinner in bed in my robe, but this time with an exciting new addition:
MY PREGNANCY PILLOW.
And people, let me tell you, it is amazing.
A friend had kindly let me borrow hers but it was a J shaped one and it just didn’t do it for me (I kept rolling over onto my back and then waking up).
I thought perhaps the PP was not for me…. but luckily, I was wrong!
seriously the things that excite me now……. it’s ridiculous……..
This one came highly recommended from friends and about
2,500 amazing reviews on Amazon and it is GREAT. Plus they have a money back guarantee!
Hope you all have a great start to the week!!!!
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! That brunch looks so freaking good and is making me so hungry right now.
